Carter Paine, Board Chairman
A Nashville native, Dwayne brings a wealth of business and human resource expertise to LEAD's board and currently serves the network as the network CEO in addition to his Board seat. Dwayne also sits on the board of Tennessee State University, his Alma Mater. Dwayne and his wife Carmen have two college-age children.
Kim Ames, Director
Kim is a Certified Public Accountant with a broad range of financial and operational expertise. She is the co-founder of AllParts Medical, LLC which she led during its start-up and successful capitalization efforts. Kim earned her Bachelor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville). She is a founding board member of the Executive Women’s Golf League - Middle TN.
Judge Richard Dinkins, Director
Judge Dinkins currently presides on the Tennessee Court of Appeals (Middle Section). Prior to serving on the TN Court of Appeals Judge Dinkins was a Chancellor in Nashville's Chancery Court - Part IV. He was elected to the judiciary after a distinguished career in legal practice in Nashville, TN. A graduate of Denison University and Vanderbilt University School of Law Dinkins is a life-member of the NAACP.
Earl Lattimore, Director
Dr. Earl Robert Lattimore, III is a passionate, family-oriented educator with a strong background in family advocacy, support and engagement, community-based services and crisis management. He serves as the LEAD Board parent representative and is the father of LEAD Academy alumnus Tyree Williams '14 and current student Justice Williams '20. He holds his Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, a Master of Science degree in Public Service Management from Cumberland University in Lebanon, TN, and a graduate certification in Non-Profit Management from Tennessee State University. Dr. Lattimore currentluy works as a non-traditional educational program consultant for the State of Tennessee, Department of Education. His passion remains supporting the needs of underprivileged and at-risk youth which is a common theme throughout his professional career.
Dr. Annette Little, Director
Dr. Annette Little is an Associate Professor and the Director of Studies in Applied Behavior Analysis at Lipscomb University. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of education. Annette taught special education classes in residential treatment centers, public schools, and alternative schools for 8 years before moving into higher education. Annette has conducted research in the areas of PBIS, reading and writing strategies for students at risk for EBD, and prevention of behavior problems. Annette is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2007. She is currently serving as the President of the TABA, President-Elect for TAILACTE, Chair of the Applied Behavior Analyst Licensing Committee, Ex Officio Member of the Board of Examiners of Psychology, and member of the St. Patrick’s SchoolBoard in McEwen, TN. Annette received her PhD from Vanderbilt University in 2007.
Jerome Oglesby, Director
Jerome Oglesby is currently the Global Chief Technology Officer at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, and has 27 years of experience in the information technology field, including experience in military intelligence technology and satellite communications technology. He joined Deloitte & Touche USA in 2004 as Director of Infrastructure. He was appointed U.S. Firm Director in 2005, and serves as a member of Deloitte's Chief Information Officers’ Leadership Team. He was appointed Chief Technology Officer for Deloitte Services LP in October of 2007. Jerome earned a Bachelor of Science in information systems from The University of Texas - Arlington, and a Master in Business Administration at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He also completed formal education in communications electronics technology at the United States Marine Corps Communications Electronics Institute.
Jimmy Patton, Director
Jimmy is the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Controller for Rogers Group Inc. Jimmy joined Rogers Group Inc. in 1995 after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Belmont University and having worked for five years in public accounting and earning a CPA designation. He received an MBA degree from Vanderbilt University in 2000 and served as Vice President-Finance and Treasurer prior to moving to his current position as CFO.
Stanley L. Ruta, Director
Stan is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Tractor Supply Company, and retired in 2012 after spending 36 years in the retail business. At the time of his retirement, Stan was in charge of eleven hundred retail stores as well as the Operations and the Real Estate Divisions of Tractor Supply. Stan sat on the Executive Committee of the company and spent his career building business strategies and developing business processes necessary to grow the business. Today, Stan is very active in the business world. He has formed an LLC that is involved in residential real estate, sits on an AdvisoryBoard for a major national retailer, and is a business consultant. Additionally Stan spends time mentoring other retail executives.
Stan and his wife Sue have three adult children.
Donald B. Taylor, Director
Don Williamson, Director
Don Williamson is a current managing director of Compass Executives, LLC, an organization of C-level executives who provide management consulting, interim management and leadership development. He is a former president and CEO of Rogers Group, Inc., a crushed stone and asphalt construction company with locations across the Southeastern United States. Mr. Williamson is a member of the Board of Directors for Nashville Public Radio. He is a former chairman of the PENCIL Foundation and Samaritans, Inc. and the E.A.R. Foundation. He has additionally been a vice-chairman of the United Way of Middle Tennessee and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. He is a former Board member for the Nashville Alliance for Public Education. Mr. Williamson holds his BA and MBA from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Alex Ryerson, Director
Carlos Alexander “Alex” Ryerson is a Partner at Luxor Capital, a $3bn investment firm, where he has worked since 2008. Prior to Luxor, Alex worked at the investment firm Courage Capital in Nashville, TN. Alex was born and raised in Houston, TX, where he attended St. John’s School from K-12th grade. After graduating from St. John’s, he attended Vanderbilt University where he majored in Economics, Mathematics, and Engineering Science. After working in investment banking at Wasserstein Perella and Miller Buckfire, Alex attended Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business where he graduated with an MBA in 2007. Alex is married to Polly Dempsey Ryerson, who he met in 1999 and married in 2004. Polly is a native of Mobile, AL. They have three children, Gazzie, Guy, and Knowles.
